We ♥ Meebo!

So we've been playing with Meebo around the house and we're just lovin it. If you use any of the popular IM clients, you should definately have a look. If you don't know what Meebo is, its pretty straight forward. You can use your browser to login to several popular IM services, AIM, MSN, etc, and do all your messaging right through your browser.

You can do something really slick when it comes to integrating Meebo with your Amie Street profile too. If you look at Eli's Profile, you can now put the Meebo Me widget in your profile. Really cool feature for artists. If you're logged into meebo, you can view who is on your Amie Street profile and start an IM with them. Look for more cool stuff between Amie Street and Meebo in the near future.

Hey Angel,

We're actually in the process of elliminating the adsense program from our system. They're of no use whatsoever to anybody. We had them up there at first because we thought they would be relevant to help some people find related products ie bandzoogle. It definately wasnt for the pennies in ad revenue.

Meebo Widgets are nice, but I am not sure I am interested in talking to strangers on my blog.

I use ebuddy.com, similar web-
based service for Yahoo/AIM/MSN. I like the fact that their features are similar to the common messengers: user interface, emoticons, pictures, nudges etc. At work I use the ebuddy tab mode: all conversations tabbed in 1 window. Works great for me!

I dunno if you're checking this comments page, but the default "meebome" code doesn't work properly with amiestreet...

Default code doesn't work for me in firefox, only in IE... I stole Elias's code and replaced the ID bit with my own and that works fine for both browsers... you might want to do a custom tutorial, or an automatic convert the meebome code into a working amiestreet code...

the working code from elias' page:

<embed src="http://widget.meebo.com/mm.swf?rAnDoMlEtTeRcOdE" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" width="190" height="275">

</embed>

and replace the "randomlettercode" with your own generated ID code...
